Underwater Festival 2012

Held annually, the 6th Underwater Festival™ 2012 (UF12) continues along the concept of the 2011 event. With the tagline 'The Australasia Challenge' it incorporates an Australasia-wide simultaneous photo and video shootout competition like no other with over U$100,000 in prizes.

UF12 features a shootout competition that happens simultaneous all over Australasia - 25 countries spanning both hemispheres - every dive you can imagine is a shootout locality, every dive center, liveaboard, resort in the area can facilitate this new kind of shootout. You can dive your local favorite spots, go out with your dive club or shore dive with your buddy.

Become part of this huge event and not unlike an underwater 'Earth Hour' help to highlight the underwater beauty but also the underwater issues of this fantastic bioregion and help to show the world what we've got to lose.

Tangkoko National Park

Our last guests were lucky again when they did the land tour to Tangkoko National Park Rainforest. Directly on arrival in Tangkoko National Park they spotted a "King Fisher" a beautiful colored small bird.

Soon after they started trekking through the rainforest they found a group of Celebes Crested Macaque (Macaca nigra) or just Black Macaque. The Tangkoko National Park is one of the few places where these animals still live. The beautiful animals did not pay much attention to our guests so they were able to watch them doing their daily business; playing around, grooming each other, an occasional fight and taking care of the babies.

Concrete Reef

Onong

After only a few times the "Onong Nights" in our Onong Resort became famous on Siladen Island. Some people from the village volunteer for the "Onong Orchestra" and even sometimes guests from other resorts join the party after the BBQ dinner on the beach. Read more
